US requirements

Three US rules that change how an app is built.

Health data, children’s data and public-sector accessibility decide screens, data flows and testing, so we settle them in discovery.

RuleWhat it means for the softwareWhat we do in the build
HIPAAHHS (opens in a new tab)A vendor that creates, receives, stores or sends protected health information for you is a business associate and needs a business associate agreement.Tell us on the first call if the product touches PHI. We scope data access, test data and environments around it before anyone writes code.
COPPA, for apps used by children under 13Federal Register (opens in a new tab)The FTC’s amended COPPA Rule has applied since 22 April 2026. Parental consent comes before collecting a child’s personal information. We design age screens, parental consent and data retention into the first version, and keep third-party SDKs off child-facing screens unless you approve them.
ADA Title II, for state and local government appsJD Supra summary (opens in a new tab)Websites and mobile apps of state and local governments must meet WCAG 2.1 AA. Large entities have until 26 April 2027, smaller ones until 26 April 2028.For public-sector work we build to WCAG 2.1 AA and test with screen readers on iOS and Android before each release.

FAQ

Houston, health data, children’s apps and time zones.

Do you have an office in the United States?

Yes. Our US office is at 6711 Stella Link Blvd., Unit 395, Houston, Texas 77005, USA, on US Central time. It is the US contact point; engineering runs from Alexandria and Dubai.

What do US companies hire you to build?

Mobile apps for iOS and Android in Flutter, React Native, Swift or Kotlin, multi-tenant SaaS products, web platforms and internal systems, and Arabic versions of US products for the Middle East.

Our product handles health data. What changes under HIPAA?

Tell us on the first call. A vendor that creates, receives, stores or sends protected health information for you is a business associate and needs a business associate agreement, so we scope data access, test data and environments around it before anyone writes code.

Can you build an app for children under 13?

Yes, with the FTC’s amended COPPA Rule in mind. Parental consent comes before collecting a child’s personal information, so we design age screens, consent and data retention into the first version and keep third-party SDKs off child-facing screens unless you approve them.

Can you launch an Arabic version of our US app?

Yes. Our Arabic-native designers and engineers build the right-to-left layouts, Arabic content and Gulf payment and login flows.

How far ahead of the US is your engineering team?

For most of the year Alexandria is 7 hours ahead of New York, 8 ahead of Houston and 10 ahead of Los Angeles. That leaves 2 shared hours in the Eastern morning, 1 in the Central morning and none on the West Coast, where work runs on written handovers.

Tell us about the app or platform you are planning.

A first call covers your users, the platforms you need and the rules your product has to meet.
